Summary: Responsible for preparation of meals from the menu plan. Carries out the schedule for serving and maintains the sanitation of the kitchen.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following: Other duties may be assigned.
- Adheres to company policies and procedures.
- Prepares menus as developed by the Consultant and Dietician
- Adheres to all resident diet orders
- Serves meals within the appropriate time frame
- Skillfully prepares attractive meals.
- Complies with all state sanitation requirements
- Coordinates the serving and cleanup of all meals
- Assures that the kitchen and dining room are maintained in a clean and attractive manner.
- Maintains food service records according to state requirements
- Assures the safe storage of food in compliance with state regulations and company policy
- Reports to Kitchen manager any loss, breakage or waste of supplies or any other food service problems.
- Assures that kitchen equipment is used in a safe manner and remains in good working order.
- Assumes responsibilities of Kitchen Manager, when requested, in their absence.
- Is self-directed and works with little or no supervision.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
